SAPHRIS experiences?

So after almost a week on seroquel the doctor told me to up my dose by 100mg each night and i am now up to 600mg per night so i gave her a call, she said to stop the seroquel and she wants me to start taking Saphris for sleep. She said it's a new medicine?

Anyway i was wondering if anyone else has taken it and what was your experience? What should i expect?

I am literally immune to everything they have tried i have tried damn near every AD on the market and now i'm on my 3rd AP, and my 3rd benzo (ativan 1mg PRN) which does absolutely nothing. I am confused why the benzos are not working, i have panic disorder....

I am hoping Saphris helps but i don't know anything about it, have never heard of it before today, the internet is pretty vague.

I was on it for a while and I do remember it making me sleepy as one of the side effects. I wasn't taking it just to help sleep but it did help make me tired. I hope it works out for you.

I am not a candidate for Saphris . Diabetes runs in my family...Saphris is notorious for huge weight gain.

Make sure you talk to your Pdoc about possible other med choices.

Most people I know who were on Saphris, it worked ok for a couple of months { they gained tons of weight } and then the med pooped out on them

I tried saphris in December because my pdoc said it had less weight gain effects than seroquel. I did the sublingual tablets and had an allergic reaction to it. I remember a few people here having lots of success with it....but I have heard it makes people very very sleepy.....which could be a good thing!

I wish there was an easier way to find our right meds for our individual bodies....I really hope this new one will help you.

Wow, I slept so well on that! I think saphris was as tough on my metabolism as seroquel...so I don't use any AP...that said, saphris promoted lovely sleep. Good luck!

It works really well for me....I've never slept so good. In the beginning of taking it, I found it hard to get up in the morning....but now I've adjusted to it and it's fine.

The only negative thing I can say about it, is it's given me a bit of a tremor in my hands. It's not constant but it pops up once in awhile.

When I took Saphris, I really liked it. It was the only antipsychotic that ever worked and I did sleep well. The only thing about it was the price. But I like Saphris. I feel that it is top of the line, seriously.
