Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

A couple o weeks ago I told you I was going to a free consultation for Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation. I was going to try it but my 1st I missed because I got very lost in Portland and had to reschedule. I cancelled again because my son's grandma needed a favor. It was easier if stayed home to do it. It's a long story. Also, I didn't ask my Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner about this. I know I should. I have an appointment with her on the 26th. The treatment involves going in for a session everyday for several days. That's a lot of driving for me.
I have postponed trying this for now.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I'm tired of the all the med changes the last couple years - my depression is crippling, I don't do Anything! Sit, and wonder is the TV saving me or killing me?
I know two people who finished the treatment and are doing remarkable. My pdoc says my experience is 100% but his experience is 30% have great results and no follow up - 30% do very well but need follow up treatments and 30% show know improvement. I'm adding the extra 10% to 60% = 70% chance of improvement and hopefully becoming high functioning instead of mildewing.....
Most likely as TMS becomes more popular, more TMS treatment centers will be built in more places. That will be good.
