I live with my oldest daughter and her two sons. Both of my daughters are bipolar and personality disorder sufferers. The oldest lives with me and has increasing trouble of her own. So I take care of all three of them by myself. I also work and the stress of this and working and running the house, etc. by myself mostly is telling on me. My oldest grandson is eleven and has been diagnosed with bipolar. My other grandson is nine and was diagnosed OCD, ADHD, with anxiety. Now the psychiatrist is leaning toward either schizo-affective or schizophrenia. They have had hospitalizations and medication changes. But now they are both escalating. The oldest, who hears voices and sees things, is now having the voices tell him to harm or even kill us. The youngest, who also hears voices and sees things, is becoming more delusional, afraid and violent. They are constantly throughout the day having meltdowns and violent outbursts. They hit each other and try to hurt my daughter and myself when we try to intervene. I am afraid that someone will get seriously hurt if not accidently killed. I have tried to call the police to get help and this last time they told the boys to settle down and mind their mother. We tried yet again to take them to the hospital for acute stays but they would not admit them because they left no marks and were not actively suicidal at that time. The hospital said when a bed is available they may be admitted to residential care. When they have been admitted in the past to acute care they work the system and are "good boys" and lie to get to come home. This leaves the hospitals to think that they don't have problems it is us. I am left feeling helpless and hopeless on how to get them the help they need. I don't know how much longer we can keep them separated when the fists start flying as they are big boys. The oldest is 5' 5'" and weighs 155 lbs. I am only 5' 7". How do I keep them and us safe until, or if, I can have them hospitalized? I need skills and knowledge to deal with this and their therapist I feel is not up to the job. I teach her about this with what I have been able to read or experience. Does anyone have any real information to share on this? I know this is a lot but I really don't want them to have to live with the fact that they seriously hurt someone

Due to my increased paranoia, anxiety, and a panic attack over the weekend, my psychiatrist has put me back in a full dose of Zyprexa until further notice. Every time I think I'm getting ahead something happens and it's back to square one. I knew he was gonna do this but I can't help feeling disappointed. It is what it is.

Kids do fight and can sometimes get quite rough... It sounds like you do need an intervention of professionals to help..
If they haven't been in control as young kids now is to late to start it without the help of professionals... I would be firm talking with doctors or agencies that you turn to that you are afraid of what's to come if they don't get help
Great big hug of comfort for you and a blessing..x
