I'm a shy person and have hard time reaching out.  I don't want to burden anyone.  My brother and his family live in town near me.  I relied on them heavily when I had my big nervous breakdown 20 years ago.  This was stressful for them and I don't want to put them through something like that, again.


It's harder to find a support system that it sounds.

Jenniferswe, I'll admit my Best support system are my online friends - the ones who can understand what I'm going through.

I have a partner who supports me, too, when he can. But I don't have close friends irl anymore, sadly. And family is far away.

This site is for people who Need to talk, need to vent, need to ask for support from those who get it! So talk away, people are listening.

What about therapy? Do you have a therapist?

Everyone always says join a club! VOlunteer, meet new people at work. But we know its not that simple; I know as I have tried. Here is a good place to find support

It is difficult to connect and find what one needs because often times we run into what we don’t need nor want. But daily strength is good place to start as many of my colleagues previously mention. To connect and make friendships that is, it is a nice and decent place online.

Jenn, just throwing this out to you. I've known you for many years and the depressions you continue to have are 'patterns' of the way you 'think and feel about yourself'.
