Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I think the PDocs job is just to give out meds and make an assessment of you. Therapists are the ones to visit more often.
Just my take on things...
The first couple of years , it was basically a med check and to see how I was doing.
Once I became stable , my Pdoc and I started into therapy together.
Therapy helped me to recognize triggers I learned coping skills, I learned a lot about myself that has helped me to stay stable.
Most professionals agree, seeing a Pdoc and some sort of "Talk Therapy" is the best way to maintain stability
So have you started looking SiRK?
I know that when and if you find a good one they are great, it's just the process is exhausting.
You get a gold star!!
Honestly, I get a lot out of groups these days. Therapy can be very isolating sometimes, at least it was for me. I prefer peer support.
I think situations change in life and there may be times you need one and times you don't bc when forced to see one a lot of times I would have nothing to talk about really and it's kinda awkward.
