I've never used zoloft. Effexor did a treat for my depression but turned into a scary story when I stopped it. Take care of yourself and make the best med choices you can,

I take Prozac which has been an immense help with depression. I take visteril for anxiety and gabepentin both which help.

I tried it only for 3 days. It was helpful but I suffer from vertigo and it triggered it so I had to get off of it. I felt like it was working and if it wasn’t for the side effects I would’ve kept using it.

Well I can help. I am taking it for both anxiety and depression. However, I'm also on Buspar 60 mg and hydroxyzine 200 mg for anxiety. I do feel its helped. At least my combo. Give it a try. I'm on 100 mg of zoloft. I don't do benzos. NOPE. But give it go and take it day by day.

Good old Sertaline, it's old school. I took it 18 years ago. It's a SSRI class Anti-D. No big scary stories, Common side effects are drowsiness, nausea, hot flashes, insomnia. There are a couple things you need to be aware of when taking Zoloft.

Don't take NSaids or anti-inflammatory meds with it, it can cause excessive bleeding.

If you're taking and pain meds and have to have routine urine drops (drug tests) for work or anything, Sertaline can cause you to have a false positive, so make sure you tell the Lab your taking it.

It takes about 3 weeks to completely get to therapeutic level and work like you're expecting it to, so be patient.

If you don't like it or think it's not working enough, Do Not just stop taking it, you have to taper down off of it.

It can be a very effective drug for depression and anxiety, you just have to give it a chance to get to where its working fully.
