Question about antidepressent

Hi guys, I went to inpatient for 8 days sucked doctor added gabetin and wellbutrin and raised my zyprexa to 10mg. I been on the wellbutrin for almost two week and after I took it this morning I felt really weird cant ecplain it. Dizzy and like I wasnt there. I told my husband I wanted to stopbit he told me not to mess with my meds, I see my psych nurse friday, she is useless. Im starting to feel a little better, my husband said to be patient cuz I also had a surgery done to grt rid if my period three weeks ago and now is the time for my period so my hormones can be screwed up to.


anyone have this experimce with Wellbutrin?

When I was on Wellbutrin at first and every time the dose was raised, I was edgy, restless, uncomfortable... Like I couldn't sit still, couldn't stop pacing around the house. I was more irritable than usual and more anxious too. It was rather miserable. It did level out tho, eventually. I'm not on it anymore. My reaction was different than yours tho. Do you think maybe it's the whole combination of the meds? Interactions and whatnot?

what did he add the gabetin for? Studies have shown that it doesn't help bipolar although for some reason doctors are still prescribing it off label despite the makers being sued for millions over it.

Any anti-depressant given to someone who has bipolar can trigger mania even if that person is also on a mood stabilizer. Some can deal with it - some get an agitation / anxiety (actually no different from non bipolar people.) That feeling may go away, stay the same or escalate.

What else are you on?

Hi guys,
She added gabetin for anxiety. Its working so far. I just feel not like myself. I feel like I am on to many meds. I was fine in the hospitsl, maybe I am thinking to much. I just feel disconnected. I do not have any agitation or mania.

I am 65 and have been dealing with my "manic depression" please, that is so much more poetic. I think Wellbrutin is a great drug. It does take about 8 weeks before it is fully working for you. I re-started taking it again a few weeks ago and still waiting for some results. In other ways, it has helped me stop smoking in my 40s and seems to help with weight, as a lot of psych meds may cause weight gain. Give it a chance, but I do know that one drug that works well for one may not for another.

Unfortunately we find out by trial and error what meds will work well for us..... I couldn't take Wellbutrin however others swear by it..... I use Gaba to help with sleep as a prn..... It can take some time to find the right med regime for you.... You really need to try and have patience with the process and I know it isn't easy..... Big hug and a blessing.....xo

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
