i lost my job for the second time a few weeks ago. I have seven weeks left of unemployment that I can use. I am also taking an online course for medical coding. I am just realllly feeling overwhelmed and hopeless. I live in an area where there are not a lot of good jobs (although are there ANY good jobs out there anymore??). I thought about moving to Alabama because my dad said I could stay at his place while I look for a job. The next time I brought it up, he was REALLLLLY discouraging, saying that he doesn't know if people in that area would be friendly towards me when looking for a job. (Because I am from The northern part of the country)....so then I thought I might try moving back to Ohio. But then I remember what happened to me when I moved there the last Time. I got a job and stayed with a family member who treated me like I was a piece of garbage. She charged me $200 for rent at her house and I didn't even have a room of my own!!!!! I lived there for exactly six weeks. Her friend ended up ripping off my Xanax at a time when my anxiety was through the roof and I was dealing with undiagnosed bipolar disorder. The night I discovered it was missing, she verbally, mentally and physically abused me. She told me I was a liar and started ripping the house apart and told me that when she found my medicine, she would be asking me to leave (late at night, in a huge city where I knew nothing and no one). She also punched me in my chest and I hit her back. She "granted me permission" to go to bed. The next day, I thought to check the trash and found my empty rx bottle. She NEVER apologized, nothing. I wanted to call the police and she threatened once again to throw me out. So then I moved to where I currently live. I stayed with my mother and her husband. I worked at Walmart as a cashier (the most humbling job I have EVER had). I was in such a depressed state when I arrived to live here that I would lay in bed and cry. I could barely function (I was also dxd with hypothyroidism later in life). When I laid there crying, my mother would pound her fists on the wall and scream at me that I made her wish she was dead. So....here I am, at another point in my life where I don't know where to turn for help, but know that these family members will only abuse me. I just don't know what to do. I am in a very depressed state and having a lot of anxiety as well. I am really scared. Can anyone offer insight please?? Thank you!!

Mom and I have errands to run this morning. She said we can get sushi for lunch though. I go back to work today. What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Quick, before the evil MONday gets here! Let's climb those mountains, dance in the meadows, dip our feet in the ocean....Okay, so most of us won't be doing any of That. Sadly. But today can still be a great day!The area behind our back fence is on an incline, with less than two feet on even ground at the top. I don't balance well enough for the incline, but our mower guy mows that...

I am sorry you are going through this. Your parents plainly lack certain parenting instincts. am trying to empathize bc sometimes my mom can be a little narcissitic.
I can't say that i have ever really felt this alone, then maybe now I am, but that is a different story...point is i konw someone who also was alone. She turned out ok, though because, like you, she could do practical work. you said you like medical billing and are studying it? that is fantastic. if this is a niche for you or even something you can tolerate, I bet you will apply yourself and do great.
the quesiton is what to do in the meantime. maybe just go to your dads whether he is feeling up or down about it or not. he is your dad and parents should help children who need to get on their fee.t you are there to sit on your duff, you are being productive.
I bet all will be just fine soon enough. keep the faith
That can be a huge pain in the Ar$e to deal with. I have never been able to hold onto a job myself, in spite being educated to Post-Graduate level.
than you all for your support. I am living about as cheaply as I can afford in the area where I love. As is things were not bad enough, I found out that my last two months of unemployment may be denied because the last job I was at (the one I was at for six weeks and told I didn't have the right background for the job). They are filing my termination as MISCONDUCT. THE same boss that told me she would be happy to give out a good word for me, she TORCHED me when my paperwork was turned into unemployment. I had to type up a statement to state my case, but if my unemployment is denied, I am screwed big time. I have $140 to my name right now. I don't know what I am going to do. I wish I could just die. I don't want to be in this world anymore. I'm tired of being pushed down. I am not in a good frame of mind.
