I am BP and currently suffering pretty bad psychosis. I think certain people have the ability to hear my thoughts. I also keep having what seem like memories, but then later on, I find out these things never actually happened, and I'm beginning to have them more and more. I'm also forgetting things lately that I have known for years, like phone numbers of my best friends that I have known since junior high...and I'm 26. Just the other day, I had to check and see what year it was!! That might not seem like such a big deal, but like my therapist said, I am always writing and dating my writings. I even write down the times on my writings, so this is something I shouldn't have forgotten. It keeps getting worse!

You need an antipsychotic, and if you already take one, you either need another one or a different one. I already take Seroquel, but I'm having another antipsychotic added as soon as my nurse returns to work. I really hope no hospitalization will be needed for either of us! Stay strong!

im on two antipsychotics im just frightened that it will spiral way out of control...

maybe see if your pdoc will give you a tranquilliser like xanax..help with that fear.. *shrug*

My humble suggestion would be to start by doing something you like to do. Do you like talking to people here on DS? If so, we sure would like to hear more.

I find that lithium does a good job of keeping me out of psychotic mania. For those times when I'm tending to get psychotic anyway I'll use an anti-psychotic. I've been at this for 28 years and no hospitalizations so things are working. Hope it works for you!

got everything even xanax but i cant seem to get it together... been taking them religusly. it has happened sooo many times where i feel physical pain the day i wake up (3rd daytommorow) and i get in my car and get help.

These are very normal triggers over the holiday time. Apart from faithfully taking your BP meds, see if you can get a benzodiazepam prescribed on an as needed basis such as Klonopin, Ativan or Xanex. In addition please remember you need to get adequate sleep, good nutrition and exercise, if you are good to your body you will find your symptoms lessen

im just dealing taking deep breathes im getting more calmer by the minute. took my two anti psychotics right now and should be fine tommorow. my crisis is hopefully over. thank you all so much for your suppport.
