Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I had a colonoscopy on Valentine's Day. How romantic, huh??? Glad you're clean as a whistle too!
I think doctors are just trying to be thorough. Is a C-pac machine supposed to help you get more non-interrupted sleep? You might really like it. I don't even know how it works, though, so it may be tough to get used to.
I was a dental patient for my daughter recently and she discovered that I'm tearing up my mouth because I grind my teeth so badly in my sleep. I have a mouthguard to try ..... but I haven't. Guess I should stop dishing out advice and take some myself!
Good luck with your sleep apnea.
My husband has sleep apnea and has been using a cpap for about 8 years it has been a great help to him. Aleep Apnea affects people in different ways like almost any other illness or disorder it may work for you it may not. My husband would stop breathing many times during the night was always tired and had terrible headaches. It gave him relief from all of those issues and me as well. I no longer worry if he is breathing or not and he no longer snores like a frieght train so when I have difficulty sleeping he is no longer the issue.
Sometimes its hard to find a a doc that knows how to walk that fine line between underreacting and over reacting. Personally I'd rather have an over reactor.
Wish you luck and relief either way you decide to go.
It's particularly not good for people with Bipolar Disorder to be deprived of the right kind of sleep.
It puts undue pressure on the nervous system.
In a ten year study of 1500 men, it was discovered that "Cardiovascular trouble was three times more likely in men with severe untreated sleep apnea than it was in men with treated sleep apnea."
It can also make weight loss extremely difficult, which sucks since weight loss can help alleviate sleep apnea!!! (That is so not fair, LOL!!!)
Slap on that C-PAP, mister!!!!!!
Oh, yeah!!! And congratulations on your colonoscopy results!!!!
I figure if I stay away from them nothing else can go wrong with me. LMAO!!!!!!!
As for the sleep apnea, I had 2 sleep studies and they found I had pretty severe sleep apnea. I was on the c-pap for about 5-6 years and it really helped, my sister is on one also.
I am no longer in need of my c-pap anymore due to a excessive amount of weight loss.
Horray!!!!
Do yourself a favor and get a c-pap it will really help your quality of sleep.
Congrats again on the colonscopy.
My hubby wears a CPAP and he is better off than all those years of intense snoring. Except Freethinker is right. When he almost died and lost 25 lbs, the sleep apnea stopped. But better to have the machine than headaches, and heart issues.
