Are there different options besides benzos? I'll talk to my p doc about it next week. He's tried me on seroquel,atarax,Ativan and valuim. I get palpitations with Ativan and valuim so he was reluctant to try xanax.

I have major anxiety at times right now. It's not really constant. I've been diggimg my nails into my arms lately when it comes on. It happens a lot in conjunction with me worrying about my health issues.

My t doc suggested I see a new p doc at the Cleveland Clinic who's familiar with P.O.T.S. I have a phone appoinement to get things going in a few weeks. I really don't want to drive 3 hours to see a p doc but I'm willing to try anything at this point.

My pdoc put me on an AD for my anxiety as I was also on benzos...and it's worked so well for it. I don't have to take the benzos anymore.

You could always try Buspar. I'm allergic to it (hives) otherwise I'd be taking it. No addictions, no withdrawals. You might want to ask your doc about Buspar. Good luck, Reds!

Vistaril is an option. Honestly I just pop a benadryl anymore.

I would see your Doctor at your Clinic. They would know best what to put you on next. They have Ativan for anxiety don't know If you have already tried this. Hope this helps.

If you're already on an AP sometimes they'll just let you take a little more prn...
I was put on Perphenazine for a mixed state a long time ago and it quashed the paranoia in a very short time... It's an old AP/major tranquillizer but it worked really well for me without the side effects some get...Big hug sweetie.. Anxiety sux....x

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
