ok here is the deal i found out earlier this week that my girlfriend is pregnant and i have been sitting here trying to deal with college and about 15 other different issues im also worried that i will pass on my disorder to my child i mean how am i supposed to deal with the possibility that my kid could make my mistakes i don't fucking know anymore

There is also a chance your child will be just fine. Bipolar doesn't always show up in children. I know your fear since I have a child that I worry will get bipolar due to me having it. I counsel and now realize that my child has a very good chance at being okay. My child also is being counseled some and is being watched for the symptoms. I can tell you this..she is doing great at this time. Very smart girl who is wise and informed. She is the greatest blessing that has ever happened to me. Your child will be your greatest blessing as well. It is scary being a parent but the love outweighs the fear. You sound like a great father already.

You'll be busy enough with school... baby on the way...congratulations! Try NOT to stress...there's more of a chance the child will be just fine... projecting and stressing about that won't add any focus on your studies, which is pretty important, especially now...

I'm sure you'll be a great dad. Keep venting here... lots of parents here... (I have 5 children)... I could share lots . Been doing the mom thing for 30 years ...

You'll be fine... take care of you, and all else will fall in place...

There is a chance your child will be fine and won't have bipolar. You have so much going on that I can understand why you are stressed. i have a 6 month old son and mood disorders run in my family. I keep telling myself that just because they run in my family it doesn't automatically mean that he will have a mood disorder. I try to stay in the moment seeing that he's a healthy little boy.

By the time the baby is old enough you'll know how to deal w it I think. I lost mine & it was devastating. I thought the same things after. what if she would have gotten it. could I handle it, would I been a good mom.

Just watch when it's in teens and late 30tys n early 40tys.
you n yours did research and preplanned to have a child together.
R do you have a trick dicky that unzip your pants while you were sound asleep, LOL
So you have hands on in youjr child life until ichild is in age range of 50ty/60tys..
