I have been a member of this place for over 10 yrs.. I was misdiagnosed with bipolar over 10 yrs ago, by a regular medical Dr..but before I got an actual diagnosis by a psychiatrist I researched the ins and outs of bipolar..so I kno a lot.. fast forward 11 yrs my kid has been diagnosed with bipolar.. she is seeing the same psychiatrist I did.. he's very good and has been a well known psychiatrist for over 40 yrs.. anyhow she's stopped seeing him due to money issues she's 21 now and I've tried to help as much as I can with payments I still have a 12 yr old son who I take care of, she can't hold relationships hardly of any kind, she had an abusive bf who she fell so in love with after 2 yrs they broke up, she got a EPO/DVO AGAINST HIM, to only drop it 5 months later to go back to him, well this last Friday he said she's making his mental health bad becuz of her highs and lows.. she is absolutely devistated.. heart broken, I know she's not on the right meds she's on I think her 4th combo.. I think one is Prozac she just got off Effexor xr a few months ago.. what is everyone's med combo? What have you had success with these days?? Plez help me help her thanks so much

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Really the only people who can perscribe are physicians and we're all different
There is no one size fits all unfortunately
I hope that she can soon find the help that she needs...xo
It's very hard as a Mom, we want to protect and give advice. I have a 28 year old son that lives with aspergers...I'm doing much better at Not Giving Advice...would a possible move for your daughter, temporary back home with you and son for her to stabilize/get away from abuse...wondering if her highs and lows could be caused by the relationship?
Best of luck to you both....please do write again to give yourself support <3
I’m on lithium celexa seroquel and zyprexa. They work for me but we are all different and I know what works for one may likely not work for another
Just be there for your daughter and support her
