I explained to a friend that I'm in 'one of those moods' again then told him to have a great day. He said he hopes I have a great day as well and I said I won't. He said I was being pessimistic. Am I really? I know my moods, I know when I can brush it off and when I can't. I know when I can do something to cheer myself up and when to just accept that I am going to have a rough day. Years of practice. Right now I just want to curl up in a ball and cry. I want to be dead so I don't have to feel this nothing I'm feeling.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

Living and then dealing with reality is a good place to be.
Now, about wanting to be dead so that you don't have to suffer. That's not realistic. I want to sleep so long my suffering will have passed by the time I wake up, but that's not realistic either. We need to get help coping with the uncomfortable feelings so that we can tolerate them while they're here.
I wish you the best today ((hugs)) girl. Remember that you are not alone!!!
Usually my depressions last 1 to 2 weeks, but you never know. And to tell them otherwise just pushes them away because they don't understand the depth and breadth of our condition, nor the pain and despair. It makes them uncomfortable with us. I don't need to push away any more people that I care about.
When I feel my worst is often when I concentrate on all that I have to feel grateful for and it helps me to feel more optimistic
Although many of my family members see me as a pessimist .... I have a realist knowledge of what I can, and can not do.
I do stretch myself , and work on expanding my comfort zone, but I think my family believes I should do more
On the flip side, there's the woman who, when told to "Have a nice day", responded, "Thank you, but I have OTHer plans!" lol
Either way, it's still the Law of Attraction at work - if you decide you will Not have a good day, or even if you just figure you probably Won't have a good day, things are likely to Hunt You Down and Help you have a Not So Nice day.
:/
He just kind of 'wished you well'.
Maybe it stung him a little -- like you were kind of rejecting his kind thought and it prompted him to react the way he did.
That's one aspect of it.
It's like when we greet someone by saying, 'Hey! How ya doin'?'
Generally, we only want a cursory and (hopefully) positive answer.
We don't really want to get into an in-depth conversation of all the terrible things that are happening in someone's life!!!
But now the OTHER side of it -- you KNOWING that it's not going to be a good day, no!!!
I don't think that necessarily makes you a pessimist.
You know yourself and your moods!!!
And another thing that I think is probably true is that when it ISN'T going to be a good day -- when you want to curl up in a ball and cry and want to be dead rather than to feel the way you do, well, it doesn't 'help' or feel good to have someone tell you that you're being pessimistic.
I sometimes feel as you describe and I almost ALWAYS wish I was dead!!!!!!
I'm very sorry that your mood is in that place right now and I hope you feel much happier really, really soon!!
