And an idiot. She tried to say that what happened during my migraine attack wasn't a migraine, but an outburst caused by bipolar. I tried to argue the point. She said "well, you ARE on a lot of medicine". I told her that maybe we should discuss the need for all of the meds that I am on. At my appointment on the 3rd, Her response was "well do u really think that adjusting meds when u just started a new job would be a good idea"? I told her I was worried that I was going to have another migraine. Her response? "Your thoughts become your reality and u are choosing to think negative thoughts". When I told her that I was concerned about my friend/old boss hating me for blurting out things I shouldn't have when his daughter was cutting my hair the day of my "episode", she said I was dwelling on negatives.
Am I wrong to think that these things are bizarre, or am I not being receptive to what she is telling me???

Quick, before the evil MONday gets here! Let's climb those mountains, dance in the meadows, dip our feet in the ocean....Okay, so most of us won't be doing any of That. Sadly. But today can still be a great day!The area behind our back fence is on an incline, with less than two feet on even ground at the top. I don't balance well enough for the incline, but our mower guy mows that...

And migraines don't cause strokes, or let me rephrase, that is an incredibly rare side effect that never happens. I don't know why your MD would even say that unless you had some other underlying condition that makes you susceptible to Strokes.
I've had Cluster Migraines for the last 10 yrs. those are Migraines that can last up to 15 days at a time, which also can trigger Grand Mal Seizures, as I have a Seizure Disorder. I'm treated by 2 different Neurologists and not once have I ever been told that a Migraine can cause a Stroke...and they take mine pretty seriously.
The symptoms that you mentioned could be the result of cross side effects of multiple medications. If you think your overmedicated and your Pdoc isn't listening to you, it may be time for a 2nd opinion. It sounds like she's just talking around you.
