packing to go away

I'm going to NYC this weekend and to LA in two weeks. I love clothes and accessories so packing can be a project. I'm trying to simplify by bringing mostly black & white clothes to LA. I have two piles in my room - one for each trip and they are mounting. This is a task that requires my critical thinking skills!!!!

Any packing tips?

Roll your clothes into tight bundles/rolls and you'll (1) have more room and (2) not have to deal terribly with wrinkles! Think about how many outfits you REALLY need and what the weather might bring. Use your bed or like place to lay out everything you WANT to bring and then pick what you really NEED to bring. It's hard, but it works!

I've always heard you only need two pair of shoes - the ones on your feet and one extra pair. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!! Of course, it was a man doing the telling.

Something you can hand wash in the hotel sink that will easily dry overnight.
