I am really having a hard time right now. I don't really know what to do. I am struggling with money. I went on an interview for a part-time job to supplement my income. I started working a minimum wage, full-time job about five weeks ago. Because of that, I will be making "" too much money "" to be on Medicaid in the near future. My food benefit balance will also be cut in half. This equates to me being in a worse spot financially than I was when I was on unemployment. Pretty freaking crappy. I don't think that getting a second job is going to be a good thing for me mentally. The job that is part time sounds pretty low-key. However, I am just worried that it will be too much. I would be working full time during the day, and then working in 3 1/2 hours at night, Monday through Friday. So that means I will be working 12 hours a day. Does anybody have any thoughts that they like to contribute. I have tried to go to my budget and see what I could pair down on. The thing is, I will have to take my employers insurance. They don't take anything out of my check for it which is nice. But I will have to start paying co-pays for everything again as well as co-pays for all my prescriptions. Plus I have diabetes and thyroid problems and etc. etc. etc. I am basically a walking nightmare. The genetic mistake. I'm just feeling out of sorts about everything. Nothing ever seems to be easy. My sister makes really good money. Granted she went to school to do what she does. It just makes me feel bad because she's always bragging about things when she knows how hard things are for me. Nobody in my family understands what I go through. I feel like I have nobody to turn to thateither understand or even wants to listen. Thank you guys for listening to me I appreciate it

Mom and I have errands to run this morning. She said we can get sushi for lunch though. I go back to work today. What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Quick, before the evil MONday gets here! Let's climb those mountains, dance in the meadows, dip our feet in the ocean....Okay, so most of us won't be doing any of That. Sadly. But today can still be a great day!The area behind our back fence is on an incline, with less than two feet on even ground at the top. I don't balance well enough for the incline, but our mower guy mows that...

I've kept up with your posts, and know you work. You also deal with alot of physical illnesses along with the BiPolar and thats not an easy combination when your trying to work each day...this I know. Have you checked into partial disability? So that you could work only part time and still have some other income coming in? I also thought about houseing help, do they have Section 8 housing where you live? Where you find a place and the City/County pays a large portion of your rent based on your income? I know it gets very hard and confusing and time consuming when your trying to figure out how to just exist each day, but I thought perhaps there are things out there that you'd not thought of yet. Honestly if it were me providing for a family, I wouldn't get a 2nd pt job that would jeopardize the food benefit, because in the end the family grocery bill would have cost more than the little bit you'd make at the part time job. Have you considered going from a smartphone back to just a normal cell phone? There's a company called Safelink that gives you a cell phone free if you get food benefits. I had to use them a few years ago when things were up in the air for a bit, it wasn't a fancy Iphone or anything but it was a nice cell phone and it didn't cost me anything. As for meds, you should have an out of pocket max on your meds through your Insurance company. I'm the "screwed up gene child" like you, I have multiple medical illnesses and take 20 - 22 meds a day. As of August 15th all my meds are free until Jan.1, 2017 because I've reached my out of pocket. So check and see what your insurance out of pocket is. You can also go to the mfg website for any of the more expensive ones and see it they'll give you coupons for very reduced rates or even free meds. They base a lot of this on your income and such.
I truly hope that things settle down for you soon.
