I hate these red light cameras! I got a ticket for running a red, in a situation where I couldn't have stopped, I was moving at 40mph in a 40 zone, but I don't have the best brakes. If I'd slammed them on I'd have stopped in the middle of the intersection. I requested a hearing, but my anxiety has been bad lately, and my mood stability is a little fragile. I'm worried about having a massive attack or slipping into a major depression. Should I still try to fight it? And do you think these cameras really reduce accidents or are they just a ploy to make more money?
In my small town,not only do we Red Light Camera's ...now they are adding them at right turn intersections....At a red light....if you do not come to a FULL stop,wait 2 seconds ,then proceed through the intersection...you'll be ticketed.

i just drove the route where i was ticketed and guess what, the sign faces the wrong direction. it's angled away from the road, so i think i'm going to fight it. these greedy b**tards don't need any more of people's money. and i'm not convinced that they actually do much good catching speeders and preventing collisions. if anything they must cause more tail end collisions with people trying to brake suddenly.
