Also I was wrong Jimmy played with his right hand but he played a left handed guitar up side down with his right hand. I knew it was something he did that no one else did. I love hendrix though.

It is true that he could play with both hands and that his father would scold him for using his left hand because only the devil would do that.

Also if you look at the voodoo child youtube video posted on the humpday tunes you will notice that his guitare IS upside down because those little tuner peg thingys are suppose to go on the top. Sorry I don't know what they are called but you are free to look it up if you don't believe me.

Hendrix was a guitar genuis and there is no telling where he would be today if he hadn't died. His fandom is still strong but I'm sure he would have remained a top chart artist to this day.
Sorry I'm getting very sentimental in my old age LOL even though hendrix was before my time, I can appreciate what an innovator he was. He paved the way for guitarists after him.

I think he deserves a special guitar hero in his honor! Any guitar hero players out there that agree with me?? And if there already is one I'd like to know about it ! :)

OOPS well for give me for being stupid and posting this before just looking it up myself. Apparently Jimmy Hendrix appears as a playable character in Guitar Hero Word Tour. But I think he deserves his own game, and it really should have been the very first one. But hind sight is 20/20

They have a GH Rock, GH Beatles, GH Bon Jovi, GH friggen everything. I think they have the majority of their bases covered.

you are right Jess they do but that is what happens when they find something people actually like and want to buy they market the hell out of it. But I was only thinking of Jimmy Hendrix honor because quite frank he deserves it.

Here is a couple of great ones also. Carlos Santana, BB King, and Crosby Stills and Nash. They have a great instrumental song, I forget the name of the song though.

Simon thank you I have heard of them but to be honest I have not even given them a chance. I will look into them but I can not promise I will be impressed. I'm not degrading them but I am VERY picky about music and some people swear I hate it because so much of it is just noise to me. But I just hear something really special in Jimmy's music. I might be delusional (I've been accused of it) but I swear I hear something others can't and I don't know of any one who has been able to replicate it. ;) but I am hopeful because I want to listen to music like normal people do. with out finding it to just be irritating noise.
