Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. (TW for those faint-hearted) getting suspended! I don't have the funds for a private suspension, so I'm going to see if I can offer to be a performance artist in any upcoming shows instead, or possibly become an apprentice.
I'm very excited, although I'm not sure what's going to come of it, or even if it will be possible. I was searching for information on how to go about getting this done when I found a company that specializes in body suspension based out of a nearby city.
Maybe this will be a good way to get a foot in the door of working with body modifications?
I'm not sure who to tell, though. Who to barf my excitement upon, so to speak. I don't know if any of my friends would come out to support me, to see my passion. I'm not sure how I'm going to break this to my family, but I'm not thinking about it right now, because it would kill my happiness. Plus I think they might be more accepting if they see the paycheck first, assuming I go on stage at some point.

That's why I tried to trigger-warn this post at the very beginning. I hope I don't skeeve anyone out with this, eeeeeek. It's actually fairly common and has been around for a while, there's a whole team of supervisors.
Please don't think I'm batshit crazy. xD At least not moreso than my usual loooool. I've wanted this since I was fifteen or so.

I'm not sure. Probably for the thrill of it, or the hell of it. It'd be taking my own hackjob 'body mods' to the next level, and some say you reach a transcendental state while up there, although it'd be a bonus for me. I'm not expecting to meet Jesus by acting like a crazy-ass, but if he decides to stop by, I'll say 'ello.
