Due to me organising a wee night in the pub on Thursday
my anxiety is rising the pan out and I've not got much to worry about
even if no one turns up the pub owner says it's ok
I'm just worried about who turns up more

the artist are a bit younger than me and we made a page on fb, so I invited some friends and one guy I know starts coming on to one of the artist friends he's maybe 20 years older and I don't want it to put her off
I called him and he said oh he thought the invite was from her he is new to fb

just stupid stuff like that is making me nervous

and the pills i had for my anxiety give me astma so i had to stop taking them i'm now taking oxazepam but they are not as good

I'm a wreak until friday i think
what eleviates anxiety? any suggestions welcome
apart from don't take it on again!

do you know how to do deep breathing exercises or meditation? both of those are helpful for anxiety

I have a body scan cd
I think i need to do it every day until thursday

Andrea has some good advice. I also try doing things that are relaxing like taking a warm bath or having hot herbal tea. The scent of the tea and the warmth both help reduce my anxiety. I also find that soothing music can reduce my anxiety as well.

One thing to relieve anxiety is to focus on your part (like arranging the party) but not worrying about who shows up or how they interact.

veryblue - I LOVE body scans. They are one of the things that help me with my anxiety the most. I have trouble when my anxiety is really high focusing on my breath, but I find focusing on my muscles effective.

hot baths with a nice smelling candle, like lavender helps. soothing music, yoga, baking sometimes helps. The smells are comforting and homey, I find it helps me feel better. Also a good book.

i wish i had a bath , not had a bath in years haha
i'm moving house shortly and i want a bath put in before we go there, a woman needs a bath rather than a shower

I've got some aromatherapy oils could get them out

OK, who is going to explain these body scans that are being discussed? Never heard of them, myself.
