Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Are any of you having depression that just keeps dragging along? This what I have been experiencing. I am on meds. and their at the maximum doseages. I know part of it's situational. The holidays are a difficult time for me due to a traumatic event I experienced many years ago. There had been some stressful stuff going on. Also, the weather has been extremely rainy and dark. I've heard several people talk of getting seasonal effective disorder early this year.
I've been praying this depression would go away but it stays. I don't know if my brain can take much more. I already asked my psychiatric nurse practitioner about one of those sun lights and she advised against it because it could cause mania. She has me taking vitamin D3.

Mom and I have errands to run this morning. She said we can get sushi for lunch though. I go back to work today. What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Quick, before the evil MONday gets here! Let's climb those mountains, dance in the meadows, dip our feet in the ocean....Okay, so most of us won't be doing any of That. Sadly. But today can still be a great day!The area behind our back fence is on an incline, with less than two feet on even ground at the top. I don't balance well enough for the incline, but our mower guy mows that...

What about a med tweak? My doc puts me on additional ADs when I'm in a depression and then takes me off when the depression stops.
How about therapy? It can help you see what is causing your depression. Depression isn't always just brain chemicals.
Hugs to you JennS...I hope it goes away soon....like yesterday!
I'm so sorry you're feeling this way Jenn. I've never tried vitamin d3, so thanks for the idea.
He is actually more perky! Who knew?
