Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

QUESTION! From what I understand, this board and others like it have extremely, I mean extremely strict rules about including links in posts. Which is great, because some users (me included) have boundary issues here-and-there and might link to something less-than-useful accidentally,
Plus unfortunately we get spammed a lot.
But around 4am this morning, I recorded what was meant to be a very quick little video (but wound up being 23 minutes long) about suicide. And in it, I talk about the harmful stigma of reaching out for help when you are suicidal.
And I don't have like a youtube channel (yet) or whatever or other streaming service, so I just kinda-sorta uploaded it to my facebook (it's still uploading, actually haha), annnnnnnddd
I was wondering if I could share a link to the video once it's finished uploading to my page? At the risk of exposing my personal profile on a different social media website?
See, I'm not sure, because like, I don't mind putting myself out there like that. I trust you guys not to go like, snoop around or whatever, lol. (x But also I don't want to seem like I'm promoting myself, y'know?
The only reason would be because I was talking kind of at length, and if I tried to copy what I said in the video, as a text post here, it'd be miles long.
Miles longer than my typical post. Which is saying something!
So would that be allowed? Because I really want to share what I said with you all (despite my awful camera shyness), because it came from my heart and I hope that it'll help someone, maybe. And for us, the suicidal tendencies struggle is very, very real. Alive and kickin'.
(If not, I totally understand, no worries. Just thought I'd check first.)

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

7. Avatars/Photos/Videos:
This isn't usually a problem, but here're some things to avoid. Typically we will ask you to change your avatar and not take action unless you fail to act. We're generally more relaxed about photos on your Photos page than photos posted to a group or other public place.
a. Blood & Wounds: No "cutting" photos. Exceptions for members that are documenting trauma, surgery, or genetic challenge.
b. Copyrighted images, text, video, music: If we receive a claim of ownership from a copyright holder, we will remove the infringing content.
c. Profanity: As avatars appear everywhere, we ask members to avoid profanity in their avatar.
d. Death: No images of humans who have passed. A skull and crossbones would probably be ok.
e. Drugs: Depends on context. Photos glorifying or encouraging drug use are generally not permitted, but a member illustrating a treatment regimen is fine.
f. Gangs: No gang tattoos or gang signs.
g. Nudity / sexual content: No exposed breasts or genitals, including transparent or scant clothing. No overt sexual gestures, such as grabbing of genitals or simulating sex.
i. Suicide: No images suggesting or promoting suicide.
j. Violence: Nothing overt--exceptions may be made for cartoon or comic violence.
k. Weapons (including razor blades): Context matters. A hunting rifle shown during a hunt, or a soldier with weapons may be fine, but guns pointed at people or a general intent to harm others is definitely not.
Please note that the company that runs our videos will automatically remove videos that infringe on copyrighted content. For instance, if you have a song playing in the background of a video, and you don't own it, the video may be taken down.
To that I'd add if you put the same link up many times then it might be regarded as spamming.
But I think you'll be ok.
Here goes nothing, I suppose. *takes a deep breath* https://www.facebook.com/IknowImSorry/videos/790282954422526/?pnref=story
