One Mean Monthly Visitor

She arrived a few days ago.  A heavy one.  I'm showing signs of premenopaus so they haven't been regular and lighter.  This one came with extreme fatigue and depression.  The depression part is not unusual for me.  The 1st extreme bout of bipolar depression happened when I started my period.  Wow, that was frightening!  I didn't understand what was going on.  I went to my regular doctor and he said it wasn't clinical depression because it didn't last 6 wks or more.  He said it was a huge case of PMS.  When the monthly visitor visitor left, I felt better.  I never wanted to go through that again but it did over a year later. 


The Monthly Visitor triggers it a lot.  I think I'd rather have the cramps that made me vomit when I was a teen than the depression.

If you are in peri menopause HRT is the best and fastest working med I think I was ever on …. It literally works overnight and takes care of the symptoms

If you have a family history of breast or ovarian cancer don't use the HRT.

Ewwww. I got mine in the hospital at night and the showers were closed. I had to cleanup with a wash rag and cold water. My period can make me moody. Luckily I have an iud now and I only get light spotting. I don’t miss it either

Thats awful. Im sorry to hear all that. My periods are bad but I wouldnt say they were irregular. My moods on my period are insane though. I agree about the depression. Im a raging lunatic when i begin and like a week before.

Thank you everyone. I saw my Dr. about this and she said my horimones aren't low enough yet for HRT.

Menopause 731 is a natural supplement I buy on the internet (Amazon or Life Extension) both sell it. Recommended by my GYN for the hysterical crying I was experiencing. OMG, like I was coming unglued every month. Helped me tremendously. I had to stay on birth control pills for the heavy flow. Hope you find some relief. Maybe give it a try, it's made from rhubarb.

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
