Do any of you have these tendencies but just have bipolar?
I find I do more of this when I'm under alot of stress. Like right now, exams, essays due, financial problems, problems with hb.
I'm having a hard time shutting down my brain its like its a car going faster without breaks. Every emotion feels jumbled. Maybe I'm rapid cycling. I was doing good without meds. I was trying to get pregnant so I got off them. I'm functional so I'm not too worried. I think I'm just under alot of stress and my emotions are very on edge. I'm afraid though when I write this 10pg essay this weekend that I will sound like a blithering idiot though. Or it could turn out brilliant who knows. Somehow I've managed to make the best grades in my classes. 100 average in sociology. My instructor must think I'm crazy...everyone else is making 70's. You can't do that good without a touch of madness somewhere. Anyway I got way off topic.

Nationalday.com proclaims September 28th as Self Aware Day. I took a few snaps of various core values lists and tried to pick my top five core values (kinda hard to only pick 5). But here are my top picks. Feel free to list a few of yours too:GodLovePeaceStability Compassion

I dont understand your original question.. "Do any of you have these tendencies but just have bipolar?" (no co-morbids?)
it sounds like you have a lot going on, why are you choosing now to have a conceive when you have so much on your plate? you could get thru some of this and then be more at ease and going med free might be easier???
anyway, good luck with your essay, hope it flows onto the page easily.
You might find its coming in to soothe you from the stress you are under. Not sure if getting off the meds to get pregnant is a good idea whilst you are studying?? Good luck with the essay.
I just stated the reason why I wasn't on meds..not asking advice on that...all this was not going on when I started trying to conceive...but of course life happens. I'm not saying I'm adding that to the mix right now during this stressful time...but all that is irrelevant.
Just wondering if I'm displaying OCD or if my bipolar is acting up again. I do have to check on things alot, and I do get obsessive with my grades....sounds like ocd but not sure? Sorry I wasn't clear, guess it was just late and I was tired with alot of stuff on my mind.
But my Bipolar doesn't seem to affect it very much and it doesn't get in the way of my day to day living or anything.
I have a brain that goes almost non-stop.......If I am no thinking something to death I am worrying obsessively.....very hard habit to break and I work on it constantly!!! Meds helps to a degree but most must come from within....:-)
A lot of people do well off of meds for a short while but then the s&*t hits the fan..x
i think OCD is coupled with the disorder. I notice most of us have irrational fears and do things to calm those. i also know there is more to OCD than checking the door 5 times to make sure youve locked it.. perfectionism, biting, picking, people.. i suppose fear runs OCD, stress can trigger BP symptoms, make them worse.. so i would think any amount of stress/fear can exaggerate our OCD. with or without bringing on an episode.
My mother is not in the slightest way bipolar and she has the worst OCD possible, for my whole life. My sister is following in her footsteps, also not bipolar.
I do not think they are comorbid. But you can have both at the same time, or not.
