I am 34 years old now, but as a chld I went through the same thing. And to make it worse both of my parents abandoned me, so my grandparents had to raise me, which only caused kids at the school to talk more about me.
Well if that wasn't enough, I was just recently diagnosed with Celiac disease (which means that if I consume a speck of gluten I will end up in the ER). I've learned so much about gluten and how bad it is for your whole body. It can cause inflammation throughout your whole body. It can even affect your nervous system. They've done studies on children who are autistic and they've taken them off of gluten and dairy products for about a month, and the results were amazing it was like they just came out of their shell, they began to communicate better with others. With this said, I would strongly suggest that you ask your doctor if can be tested for Celiac Disease, and also ask if you can see an Allergist to see if you are allergic to anything else, which may be causing you to feel anti-social. I know it sounds crazy but our diet can affect our minds in drastic ways.
And lastly, remember despite what others think about you, the Creator of this Universe, God Almighty (not Bruce Almighty...lol), calls you his PRIZED POSSESSION. His Word in Psalms 139:14 says that you are FEARFULLY and WONDERFULLY made. Wow! You are made in Christ's image and He has an amazing plan for your life. And if God is for you who in this world can be against you!!!
If you'd like I would love to pray for you!
Love Lady for Christ!!!!
both of my boys are in elementary school so I am dropping them off and picking them up from school.
At first, I was always very self conscious..... I just "don't look like a mom" not like the ones who seem very doting and the perfect mom type, you know?
I am more laid back, and feel like I don't fit in with the "perfect moms", who seem like they get so much joy out of being a mom, like it is their whole life, wow, that sounds bad, but do you know what I mean?
My boys drive me crazy some times, I wish I was working again sometimes just to escape them! That doesn't sound like the "perfect mom" to me.... thats how I saw them, Like they could never get enough of their kids, made eggs and pancakes and gourmet dinners.......
BUT, I found out that just isn't true.....
They are like me. Might not dress like me, or talk like me, but their kids are no angels and drive them crazy at times!!!!!
Anyhoo....... once I finally got the nerve up to say "Hi," I find that they are a lot like me, and their world doesn't revolve around their kids and being perfect......
It was hard at first, but it just takes a couple of generic convos to open up the flood gates!
Hang in there, sweetie, try to say, "Hi, man am I glad they are back in school!" and be amazed at the ease the other moms will say, "I know!"
