I had alot of issues when taking care of my mom before she died five years ago..I have doing well since but on Monday I had a dream that she was confused and lost. She had alztheimerz I woke up not realizing to later that it was her 5 year anniversary of her death..I had come to peace thinking she had come to peace but now I am agitated over all this wondering wtf..just venting

I'm sure she's at peace now. It was just a dream and we all know how crazy our dreams can be at times.

I agree with Becky. My dad died of Alzheimer's and my mom died of colorectal cancer. I had weird dreams occasionally years after their death, but not in the last 5 years or so. Very disturbing dreams…… But we need to remind ourselves it's just a dream, it's our mind, not reality. Our loved ones who are deceased are at peace. It's the living who are suffering.

I lost my FIL to lung cancer 7 years ago, and for the last month I was his caretaker each day, as he was at home and didn't want to be in the hospital or in hospice, so I was with him each day watching him die. And he went pretty quick from DX to Death was only 4 months.

I still dream about him now and again and it feels real, like we're having a good talk and I wake up and expect him to be here. In that last month he was pretty out of it, on lots of heavy drugs, palliative care. but once in a while he'd come out of it and we'd have some good conversations...those are the times I dream about now and again.

Sorry you experienced a nightmare ... I won’t try to get all scientific about dreams but I sometimes have nightmarish dreams around periods of bad memories. Like it’s etched there as a troubling memory.

Sorry you feel agitated. I hope the day has felt more peaceful as it went on. Be kind to yourself - that was a difficult experience.

    Happy Tuesday. I only have a few tasks today. I'm currently enjoying my coffee and checking social media and emails. It's gonna be almost 90 degrees today so I have to monitor the dogs outside activities  How's Tuesday looking for you?
