I used to have terrible night terrors way back when I was unmedicated or on certain types of meds and the doctor swapped them so I could get more sleep etc.
Last week I had a bit of a hyper week and hardly slept, when I finally started sleeping again I'm waking up 2/3 times a night with night terrors.
I wake up violent shaking in the middle of panic/anxiety attack.
Does anyone else have them? Or do you know a way of dealing with them?
It's now 4am here and I'm too scared to go to sleep

I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car. I think it's the only time I spend reflecting. Chronic tiredness from Long Covid plus the immunosupressing meds for my Crohn's is slowing me down but everything just seems a massive effort. I am dealing with the paperwork following my father's death but it's not...

Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner. I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings. But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!

It takes all my control(and some Xanax sometimes) to get through the episode of anxiety.
true night terrors are a little different, they come while our brains are in a different sleep mode, than regular sleep.(during REM..no they come NOT during REM sleep...regular dreaming comes in REM sleep...S@%& I'm confused!)
I used to have hypnogogic hallucinations too, spiders in the bed just as I think I'm falling asleep.
I have meds to help me sleep, Remeron 30mgs and Seroquel 300mgs, but all they do is make me a zombie the next day.
I am also afraid to sleep and stay up late and sleep on couch so I dont hurt my wife.
I just wish I knew what triggers them or how to fix it.
