I've got my new doc now and I'm still sort of feeling him out to see how I feel. On my last visit he gave me a sheet to sort of monitor my levels of mood but I get really upset trying to fill it out because it doesnt give you space to show how your day went. Things in my life don't remain static over the course of the day but I'm supposed to come up with a number for how elevated or depressed or normal my mood was and my anxiety level and so on. It just serves to heighten my feelings of anixety as I fill it out knowing that it doesn't really represent my day in any meaningful way. When I see him next I'll have to discuss it with him because it is really bugging me.
My mood is staying mostly depressed to one degree or the other but my anxiety level is moving around all day long so that I don't know how I'm going to feel from one hour to the next. Just explaining it makes me upset. I cant' take this duality for much longer it's driving me out of my mind and making me more of an isolationist than ever.
I'm still losing it on a daily basis and I seem to have no control over my feelings at all. It's an unsupportable situation and I don't know what to do. Arre any of you guys and gals going through this duality of feelings right now. It's making me feel like pulling my hair out by the root. I'll have to tlak to him about a journal or something instead of this basic chart. He's talking about group therapy and that is freaking me out too.
Can anyone help?????

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

As for your Pdoc , just tell him what you just told us .
If you have a Printer, print this entry out for your Pdoc to look at, that might help.
I hope things go well on your next visit
When I'd do my daily hand-written journal I'd just write whatever was pertinent for a single day in my notebook.
The other thing is to make your own form and add a space for more information along with his numbers. That's what I did with my Pdoc and he actually ended up liking my Forms better and started using them for his practice. Sometimes they just use what they have and don't think to use something better until someone gives it to them...it can't hurt.
Take care,
Kat
I found when I journal ed I could really see my day to day moods and it helped
I think your doctor wants to get an idea of where you are and where your moods are ... Perhaps he's not as concerned with specifics but rather how you are doing on a day to day basis..
I agree as well to print or write this out to give to him
You've just started with a new doctor sweetie and it takes time... Our disorder is seldom a quick fix unfortunately
Hang in there... Things will get better for you... Great big hug for ya..x
After a while you might start to figure out what is making you anxious. If you can track that, In my opinion, you can start to have a better idea of how your day is going and why. whether it's chemical or situational. It really helped me anyway. good luck and hugs.

Thanks for the replies. I think I may just do a journal and at the end put what I felt in the AM and the PM and give some number value to them. I think it'll give him way more info that the form he gave me even if it isn't in a form with all it's columns and such. Hopefully he'll have time to read it and if not he can tell me how to boil it down to what he needs if you know what I mean. I'm still really anxious but depressed at the same time and it's really taking it's toll on me but it isn't as though things happen at the same time each day. Take today, I ended up sleeping for most of the day because of my sleep deprivation in the last ten days or so. I want him to see the patterns not just a guess as to what the real day was like.
I'll most definitely tell him how I feel about he form he gave me to fill out and the fact that my moods and levels don't stay the say over the course of the day. I hope he sees what I'm talking about and is willing to read a journal. I"m not really sure how to use anything in office except word because I used to write a lot so maybe if I could learn how to use some of the other medias I could make things clear with a paint my the numbers form.
Anyway, thanks a lot for all the ideas.
