Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Hi to you all:)
So I have been in and out of therapy for many years and have been given several diagnoses....some I know for sure are right on others not quite sure...so one of them was BP II. After reading some of your posts I am curious if this is true. I can relate to the compassion, loneliness, moodiness, etc. So I'd like to understand more about this condition and would like to know if anyone can relate.
Lots of Love :)

Some things we don't talk about, we breathe them... Some things cannot be explained, but rather experienced. Some of the most healing moments arise when given the memory, acknowledging the love. One cannot go back in time; we move forward, and we carry the love we shared. No one but ourselves has the power to do so, or the permission to do so, but ourselves. So live life with your faith and...

I've been feeling like I don't matter my wife the other day instead of telling me she was having a pain day when I went to have sex with her she tell me afterwards that she having pain day due to her fribromyalgia and making feel like shit afterward saying she has a list of things from past 9 years of thing for me to do and is always adding more and more to this list and talk...

There are many good books that explain Bipolar Disorders.
I have BP2. It is no fun. I can tell you that!
But we can't diagnose bipolar over a computer
:)
Bipolar is a complex mental illness, and needs to be evaluated by a qualified Psychiatrist , before a DX [ diagnosis ] can be properly made.
My suggestion, make an appt with a Pdoc [ psychiatrist ] and go from there
Good luck
:)
As the rest have said a psych will be able to evaluate you after a history of your symptoms has been taken..It can take some time for a firm diagnosis.. But symptoms can still be treated...x
What everyone else said, well I always have something to say LOL, forgive me now - for whatever I might say in the future you don't like! LOL
After a couple days here (not being a board, chat, message kind of person).......
I felt I hit the JACKPOT!!! The support and friendships, OMG awesome - the things I learn from reading others people support, WOW - I think I've been here awed, inspired and supported - well, since I found the place : )
For me, I had a good dx (diagnosis) and researched about my bipolar and the meds I was given. I took all question, sometimes a written list! To help confirm or inform my pdoc (psychiatrist).
I have improved inside and out, by knowing what I have and learning what I need to change to be a better person - some of my behaviors, were out of control - along with my moods. When meds work, those coping skills didn't work or help anymore, I had to learn new ones. I'm not fixed, have ups and downs - but so does everyone else on this earth.....
I learn the post I read on here! From peer to peer, friend to friend= whether here or real life meetings. Isolation is depressions strongest weapon.... on here, I could isolate, and yet NOT.. makes it easier to get better, or not get worse...
Hope you get half of what I do!!! Again, Welcome Woman!!!!
Moodiness that impairs functioning is getting into mental illness territory, for sure.
Welcome & I hope you find the answers you're looking for :) x
