Can you tell me what is this and the best med for it? My moods swings changes so fast and often for no reason, I can cry and yell at anytime I like life hate life. Why am I here? I just found out this year that I have MS, I thought that was the reason and now I don't think it's related.

Hello! Finding the right physician, medication, and coping mechanisms are the most important thing you can do for yourself right now, and can make or break your experience with this disorder. Read as much as you can from reputable sites/books, ask for help in discovering ways to recognize episodes and what to do for each of them. Talk to your Dr. about YOUR particular episodes (what do you obsess about? what are your triggers? how long do they typically last? how often has your judgement be off to a degree that it has affected your job & interpersonal relationships?) No 2 people with BPD are the same. Find out what it means for YOU & go from there. Importantly: Know that you are not alone. Please keep us posted on your progress :)

Find a doctor that your can trust. Then trust there advice. Its your quality of life were talking about. When ever my doctor says "I think its time for a med change-what do you think. The first thing i say is
"NO DROOLING" Seriously ask about side affects. By the way the one month mark or six week mark they say about meds is true. Very few you will feel in a week. 2. Make a schedule for your day. 3. Don't be scared of the person in the mirror. Remember everyone is dealing with something- nobody gets out free. Make a plan and work your plan... God bless you and keep you safe. I see your profile only says you believe you have it? You have not been diagnosed?

There are many reasons for mood swings.

Only a psychiatrist can diagnose you (probably after seeing a basic medicasl doctor to check a number of other possibilities first) - then take their advice re meds. Be prepared to try several.

    I find myself going places in the car and not wanting to get out of the car. I come back home and I don't want to get out of the car.     Wow, it's the middle of the week already!Today is our 11 year anniversary, so we're going out to a nice dinner.  I'm losing a lot of sleep these days, hence a wonky schedule and uncomfortable feelings.  But I know it will pass, eventually.I hope all of you have a peaceful day, and may good things come your way!
