Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Hey everyone, first time attempting something like this. Well I'm 23 I've known I was bipolar since I was 18 and a few months ago my girlfriend of 5 years left me, not a direct result of me being bipolar but I know the way I am had affect on our relationship, it's been a struggle over the last 5 years but im kind of at a breaking point now where it's really getting the best of me, I know this is a break up story but being bipolar and alone in this time is impossible, I don't have any friends where I live and it's difficult to speak to family about how I feel because while people have gone through it none of them are bipolar so they don't know what else comes with it, my impulsivity gets the best of me as I'm sure it does most of you, and I'm thinking of packing up my things and moving out of state to be on my own but at peace because I just can't seem to find anything where I'm at other than horrible thoughts and my mind turning every location into a memory that I wish I could cut out, almost as though I have a photographic memory of the negative things(I'm sure that's a cliche the more you talk to people with bpd) anyways just wanted to vent and see if anyone else is in a tough spot and wants to connect or if anyone has advice, im just getting through everyday at this point

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I like meetup.com. it is a group of people who meet and do things together. After a bit you start to have familiar faces.
I'm sorry to hear about your pain. You can be my friend :-)
Moving to somewhere else, well, ya just take the 'same baggage' with you...not to mention the stress of moving creates.
If you are not in therapy, are you on meds? Those would be two possible avenues to take if you choose to help those negative ruminating thoughts.
Hang in there...you're at a tough age, my son is 24 and still finding his way, he has a form of autism called aspergers.
Keep coming back an writing, there is no such thing as 'too much'....I'm writing that from my own perspective of 'possibly bothering people or thinking my problems are so small compared to others' when I first joined...
Do you best to take care of yourself, that is the number 1 priority right now. Eat, drink fluids, take meds and sleep...if you can, try to get outside and take a 15 minute walk...isolation is not good.
Best to you!!
I agree with others that you have to deal with the problems sweetie and find that stability as your problems will follow you
