Hi there. I have bipolar 2. I've found that no one in real life understands what we go through unless they also have bipolar. Even therapists don't get it as much as they try.

Hi maegan. I'm glad you're here. We need all the threads to get a chance to relate to different people at different times over different issues. I'm not sure what your struggles are. My biggest struggle with bipolar was learning how to manage my life with pill boxes and reminders and using a calender and journal to reflect and record things I wish to discuss in different places with different people. I do that because of some fairly bad recall. Most people are fairly open about their struggles here... indeed thats mostly the best way to get support for issues you don't want to keep private amongst your friends you make here. Hi. I have mixed bipolar with mania. It is depression with manic features.I just found out yesterday and we can give each other support. Message me anytime. I just started Zyprexa and have been in Zoloft 3 weeks. Before in Paxil and this creates the mania. Slept last night for the first time in months. Hugs to you

Hi. My son is suspected to have schizo affective bipolar disorder...or bipolar 1 with psychosis. He's 20 and has been having symptoms since last summer but experienced crisis when he went away to college last fall. It's hard and were trying to figure it out...onto new meds these past couple weeks. Hoping these work better for him.
