Hi, everyone, i am so sad right now. A girl who caused grief for my husband and myself a couple of months ago committed suicide within the past few days. Even though we didn't get along, it still upsets me to hear this. She was such a young girl, in her early 20's, and she was bi-polar, but not getting help. Noone has heard from her in the past few days and we did not hear any noise coming from her apartment. But we didn't think anything about that because there were times she was gone for days at a time. Say a prayer for her soul.

I know I felt a respocibility when a friend of my nieces commited suicide..and I didn't even know him!I think it's just human nature to feel deep sorrow when someone commits suicide.
i don't expect anyone to really understand this (i don't quite understand how it works myself), but i feel so very guilty about the suicide of my birth mother, which happened when i was about 4 and half, well after she had already given me up.
i guess i just have a bad case of the 'what ifs'...like would what if she would have had a harder time checking out if she had a toddler hanging around...then again...maybe it would have been easier...since being bp single mom must be hard...but then what if having me around would have made her look harder for a mate...
you see the circular conversations this leads into...and it's not like i would have had any control over it in the 'real' and 'logical' world...but it seems my emotions don't really care about a rational real world...
anyway...i think that's the main thing suicide survivors of any kind are left with...whether it be mothers and fathers or children or the people down the street...
at some level...there are questions and wishes that one could have done something more for the person to avoid such a circumstance...when a lot of the time...
it's likely no one could have...
the great suicide script writer in their head has just won out...
and all we can do is hope that they are finally at peace.
