Need book suggestions

I'm finding during my depression right now I can't bare to put the tv on. I've been reading a lot mainly prayer books. Does anyone have any good book suggestions?

I read a lot of children's books, they bring me joy! I love how to train your dragon, and I'm loving listening to Harry Potter on audio.

I read historical fiction to get away. Anything by Phillipa Gregory will treat you well. Allison Weir is another great author.

Other things I read are those teen books like The Hunger Games, Divergent, Harry Potter, etc.

Anything by Christopher Moore! He's a little out there but if you don't mind a fantastic imagination, you'll really like him.

Ok Red I am finishing this book called The Dark House by John Sedgwick for the second time now. Its awesome if you like mysterys. Its full of twists and sex and an awesome plot it will keep you on the edge of your seat. Also if you really want to get lost in reading read the HArry Potter books. They are amazing and not just for kids. I still reread them to this day.

It depends on how much you can focus... Sue Grafton is a great mystery writer and she's really funny as well

Lawrence Saunders ...McNally series is along the same road mystery drama with a lot of humour thrown in

I find colouring light of heart and fun... Just kids colouring books and crayons... Big hug for you sweetie...x

I recently finished "Help, Thanks, Wow the Three Essential Prayers" by Ann Lamott. It was really wonderful!

"Loving Kindness: the revolutionary art of happiness" I find wonderful. Really helped me out when I was very, very down. Nothing fluffy about it. It's a prayer/meditation book with discussion by the author. (Sharon Salzberg)

the savage god by a alvarez, an unquiet mind by kay redfield jameson and any others you can find by the same author. the mindful way through depression written by four authors and comes with a cd. all very good to read and keep going back to.

    Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
