It's usually just a Form Letter, asking if you are able to work.

Get a note from both your Pdoc and regular Dr , saying you are still considered disabled enough not to be able to work.

Also, a DX of depression is usually enough to qualify for SSDI.

Have Dr's include the list of meds you take, and the side effects that impair your ability to work

IE : dizziness, tiredness , lack of focus

I was up for review about 6 months ago and freaked out! If you included your primary/main doctor as one of your doctors on the review and she diagnosed you as BP, then SS will recognize your disability. Usually people who have even a history of a diagnosis are granted SSDI so I wouldn't be too worried. If you were Dx as BP in the past, that's in their record as no sign of improvement. If they review you every 7 years, that means they think there is no chance of recovery. Like most physical illness, right?

Moreover - you should not stress. There is nothing you can do. The ball is out of your court. Just destress and relax, do something soothing. Take good care!

Try not to worry overly so, it is what it is. I'm up for review once every 10 years because i qualify across the board on all criteria.

Only took them 30 days to grant my SSID back in 1994 and they pulled me up for review in '05 ask me to verify my personal contact info and said "See ya in 10 years if that." This past February the review board called the day after my B-Day and ask if there had been any changes in my condition, i replied no and verified my current info and they said they'll talk tp me again sometime.

So, they aren't as anal retentive as some would have you believe.

I'm sure you'll be fine. I've been diagnosed Bipolar for five years and it wasn't enough to get SSDI. But my situation is different, My doctor won't say I can't work. I am severely depressed, have extreme anxiety and can barely function. But my doctor won't say I can't work so no disability for me. If your doctors say you can't work then you've got it made. Like DD said, a note from your doctors should keep you getting those payments.

I don't know what my doctor thinks. I did mention it to him though and he did seem concerned about it as well. I made it known to him that with out meds I can not function and that if they decide I can work they will cut off my medical. That seemed to alarm him so maybe he's on my side not sure.

I am concerned though because this has only been three years and they are already reviewing my case. That tells me they think I can work already. I had to fight to get SSDI in the first place I'm thinking I may have to fight to keep it.

I stressed about every review I've had, there have been two or three. Have a specific conversation with both docs and clarify the situation. I also had my sister's opinion that I was unable to work. I think they talked to her??

Good luck. I think it's just a formality. Hubby is on SSDI and gets reviewed and hasn't been cut yet. And I don't think any of his doctor's said he can't work.
