Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

Well I know I'm BP and she knows it right. I'm holding nothing back. They have me on film. Need I say more, it wasn't a better hair day. I told them all my episodes and the things I've done over and over.
She looked at me raised her glasses off her face and said. I know your episodes they jump from manic to crying within an hour they are NOT long enough to be BIPOLAR they for the third time are MOOD DISODER! There isn't a category to put you in but non of the bipolar's are you.
You know that song, " I believe I can fly" ....I can sing that in mania...by the time my mania is over I'm sing , "I believe I can cry!"..
I just wanted to share my Pdoc with you
She's leaving or man. Not another one

My experience is that no diagnosis is necessary if your symptoms are known, then you can treat that. Takes a willing pdoc, though and good luck with that.

I have never had any pdocs agree on a diagnosis. I gave up trying to get any straight answers so I just take my meds I need to make me sleep, avoid psychosis and to nip anxiety in the bud when it happens.

I agree with Tommy. When I first diagnosed I asked my NP what he was diagosing me as and he said "I'm diagnosing you with BP2, but I don't look at the actual diagnoses, I treat the symptoms".

i think you need a new pdoc - one willing to listen, work with you, and treat you who has your stability as a goal...

Mom and I have errands to run this morning. She said we can get sushi for lunch though. I go back to work today. What are you looking forward to this weekend?

Quick, before the evil MONday gets here! Let's climb those mountains, dance in the meadows, dip our feet in the ocean....Okay, so most of us won't be doing any of That. Sadly. But today can still be a great day!The area behind our back fence is on an incline, with less than two feet on even ground at the top. I don't balance well enough for the incline, but our mower guy mows that...
