Sigh. I wanna go home like NOW. She's contracted a virus that has killed a number of people out here who have other illnesses. Since she's severely anemic I'm beyond worried. We were just talking and I was trying to convince her to go to the doctor when she passed out. Luckily she wasn't alone so her fiance and my gran are taking her to the hospital now. The virus by itself is pretty wicked- lots of pain, fever, upset stomach, rash but the worst part is that it causes complications with other illnesses. Before passing out she was complaining about having heart palpitations. A part of me hopes she gets admitted so she can be monitored around the clock but then I know that would mean she's in a pretty bad state. I still have exams going on so I really can't leave. All I can do is pray and hope for the best.
