Hey everyone,
I'm on Lamictal, Depakote, and Lorazepam. I'm getting married in September & I'm concerned about the interactions between these meds and the birth control pill that my dr prescribed me, which is Seasonique. All sources tell me different effects. Does anyone know how this mix would affect me? I absolutely cannot get pregnant. Also, my wedding is on Sept 17th and of course I don't want to be on my period that night, especially since I'm a virgin. So family planning told me that I should start the pill on the 9th, either this month or next.
Any thoughts?

Did either your gyn or your Pdoc talk to you about possible effects? Since everyone reacts differently to different medications, your dr would know best if there were any reactions to be aware of. This should have been discussed before your dr even prescribes the medication.

I would talk to your pdoc.... He/she should know the interactions of psych meds .. in the meantime you can discuss it with your pharmacist... xo

I had the same concerns so I got the copper IUD. No hormones, no interactions, just a heavier period.

And the bonus is, when you decide to get pregnant, there's no waiting period for your body to re-adjust.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.
