As some have said this is a good way to let out some steam and this way you are for warned that this is a joke and you can stay away form it if you please.

I agree with nailed. We have to vent! If not, we just keep everything inside and it just festers. A mock funeral is a funny alternative to the dreary lives that we have. It's just a way of tickling your funnybone. Besides, Doug... I'd be more upset that we're planning on burying everything in your backyard!

there were some of my friends who were getting hammered about their posts because of their content ...so they took it to themselves and moved their fun to IM so they could have all the fun they want and not hurt anybody. doing that on the boards is not showing off fun, it is disturbing to way too many people. i would have emailed doug if i knew i wasnt the only one but i have kept my mouth shut cause i just thought i was a freak. this post made me feel better. there is such a thing as funny without being highly offensive

Wow. I live in one of the most ridiculously politically correct cities ever. It was really nice to see a website where you could be silly and rude and vent and whatever else was needed without making someone upset. Yeah, having a funeral posting was morbid and creepy and sad. But it was also a fun way to look at an unpleasant topic. And, i'm pretty sure, when cycling, bipolar folks are a little morbid and creepy and sad. So, just a little warning to all you out there who are thinking of doing something fun and stupid, Careful, you can be bipolar here, just try not to show it much, K?

it has been said elsewhere, if you are going to post a morbidly funny thread which could potentially hurt somebodys feelings, post it and those people don't have to read it.. that seems fair enough. but nobody has a choice to see the titles on the board of these posts...perhaps a title not to do with joking about dead bodies and funerals.. if somebody is dealing with death in their life, and cant come to the boards at all because all they can see is funeral funeral funeral funeral ...as a joke? it should be expected that some dont like that so just keep it contained.. nobody is making it stop, just asking for some common sense is all.

So, the bone to pick is with the title?

Have any of you enjoyed a Monty Python movie? or Adam Sanlder movie?or robin Williams? Death, suicide, funerals, cutting off body parts are sarcastically mocked all the time.
I will not speak for the honorable, kind and brilliant Knight Hawk but for myself burying old ideas that no longer serve me and burying my dead microwave was pure therapy. Does no one here whose "all creeped out" not know or own a Gothic teenager or even just a regular one? Have you parttaked in their music? It is all about killing, dieing, not being made for "this world" its is morbid, depressing, dark and twisted.
Have you watched any of the "Scary Movies 1 thru infinity? Hilarious, stupid silly murder, meyhem and suicide.

We live in a world more and more fascinated by death. The teen fashion store "Hot Topic" feature skelaton themed under wear, not to mention shoes, grim reeper/Nazi type boots jeans and skeleton tees. This generation we are raising has an entirely different outlook than 20 years ago. How will they, as they enter the work force, forever change culture?
I love people. All people. I love all of you because I do! Its my "way" Nothing was meant to intentionally hurt anyone. We have people posting real suicide calls on our site all the time. For me, it was time to spoof it too. The vitual play time theatre group on BP will particiapte in milder scenarios. Next week be prepared for a Virtual Camping Trip. Everyone is invited.
Denial is never a good thing. When you read something you dont like, instead of running to Dougy. Stop and think. Can it be live and let live? Can you speak up here on the very post that is creeping you out? or can you back out forget about it and move on to something that suits your fancy better.

Ohhh camping! Good, I've got time to nip to Zurich to buy some gear. Now I'll need a tent, sleeping bag, primus stove......mmm does Suze really do under canvas? Still I can buy those Kate Moss hotpants, some tight tee -shirts and those Prada trainers I saw. Maybe if I just turn up looking pretty someone will let me share their tent and food!!!!!!
