Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
The concern is that hypomania leads to deeper depressions, so therefore if your meds are pushing you too high, then they feel an adjustment is needed....
Lack of good sleep, talking too loud or offensively, irrataion at people in general....my Depakote dosage will vary ,sometimes week to week,I take a basic 500 mg...but if I feel aggitation coming on...I have a baby dose of 125,I add in the AM.Once I settle down, after a day or so,I'll drop down to my regular 500 mg.
I am also hyper sensitive to most meds.
I've been having all the symptoms you just mentioned. That is when my Prozac got bumped down, then I don't even want to get out of bed. I'm obsessing over what the pdoc will do with my meds at the next visit. ugh!
it may feel good sometimes, but it is still a symptom of the disease, and the disease needs to be treated.
