Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I have never posted in this group so I hope I am posting in the right category. Since June I had Latuda added to my cocktail mix and my moods have been fairly normal. I get bouts of depression and sadness, but I have not experienced any high moods. I now feel like I miss those moods. I loved feeling on top of the world, like no one could stop me. I enjoyed the endless flow of thoughts coming in and out of my mind. I miss it greatly. Has anyone else felt like this before? What have you done? I am tempted to stop my meds because the feeling of normal is boring and uneventful.

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

It is hard to distinguish whether you are simply on a roll, or manic, but taking the time to try figure it out does help too.
I would also just advise my doctor of my feelings, perhaps there are other alternatives they can suggest.
The unfortunate thing is what goes up must come down so a crash will follow hypo or mania... And stability will never be had
I think a lot of people have gone through having these feelings and thoughts tuxed... Stability in life is important though for ourselves and for all who care for us
Welcome to the Board!!.. It's a great place to come...xo
Missing manageable mania is a common complaint. I felt that way too at first but I kept reminding myself that the mania was like a grenade that could and would go off unexpectedly so stop wishing. My medicated self is just different than my raw self -- not necessarily better than or worse than. I like the new me and so do others.
