Oh yes. You're definitely not alone with this one. I forget whole conversations. I forget phone #'s that I've known for years. I forget my pdoc's name a lot too.

My pdoc is actually sending me to a neuropsychologist b/c my memory is so bad.

What was I doing again? Exactly.

Yes, I have been forgetting things lately. I don't believe it i do to BP though. Most likely from too many things on my mind (Stress). Was considering taking something to help with memory, mentioned to my Dr. who said no as too side effects from things such as Ginko, I really don't know that those type of formulas actually work.! I am concentrating on my thoughts and exercising to help with my stress.

omg do i ..its terrible. sometimes my spelling is so bad i am like a 1st grader.. thats just one example...i will be driving and i forget were i am going ..so yes terrible memory lapses..

I have a teeny tiny bit, but it used to be much worse. When it was worse, I can blame it on a combination of my depressive symptoms and the meds I was on at that time.

yes. Probably meds add to this.

I forgot what I was doing here, but I got this nagging feeling to leave something....driving with a backseat full of fighting kids will ummm.....can't quite remember what that does to you....

I thought it was med related but my doc says it is a bp issue. Long term memory is completely intact, it's the short term that suffers.

OH MY GOD YES!!!!! It's terrible. I have to say this is very scary when it happens and I try and shrug it off, but it really bothers me.

my old pdoc said it's due to bp too. i've got weeks and months that i totally do not remember.

I have a write schedule that I go by and calender beside my bed & in kitchen plus I always check the date on my pc.
the calender in kitchen is for appts.
I also have a med sheet.

Am like granny operating and functioning on long term memory so am still able to do every day activitys but will I can read a book this mo and read the same book next mo.
so I have a note book that I keep list of books that I have already read and this applys to DVD's too. Am always happy to find money in jacket or pants pocket that I forgot that I had,lol
Iv always been able to recall last names and still do but I cant recall people 1st names.
I call all men handsome and I call woman sexy lady or miss because I can't recall 1st names.
If I see someone on reg bases then I can recall thier name but yet again I also have brain glichs where for a moment I can't recall a person name that I should be able to do so w/o short memory thought.
I have aminsia and certain memorys will retrigger aminsia but I have learnt what I need to do during such moments.
I shop at certain stores where employees know my car and where I normally park and they know to go to my car where my in home care person is and get the person to come and get me when needed.

I have CRS ( can't remember poop)

This certainly effects me far to much
It is due to medication and I hate it
What the heck do we do though if we need the meds
I write lots of little reminders and sticky notes all over lol
