Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

The other problem here is you can't choose your meds based on what other BiPolar's take, we're all different, depending on the type of BiPolar we have, what are symptoms are, how severe they are, how long we've been BiPolar, etc. We all react differently to medications.
The only way to get on a proper cocktail is to see a Pdoc (Psychiatrist) and work with him based on what your symptoms are. Psych meds take time to work and reach a therapeutic level, it takes time to work through the side effects, so it's not a quick process. All you can do it start it and get the process going, the sooner you do, the sooner things get under control.
Take care,
Kat
Do you have a psychiatrist???.... I would try and find a psych that you like and stick with him/her..... They are experts in psychiatric medication.... That's the crux of what they do
I know that it's hard to be patient.... It took me about 3 years to find the right med regime …. Along with that other coping skills
Try and work with it ara not against it..... We have it there's no winning in fighting against it
However we have a treatable disorder and we can achieve stability
I am on Tegretol and Seroquel along with extra help for sleep...… Big hug....
This is a good place to come....xo
