Does anyone have it? I'm currently on Cobra from when I stopped working in May. I looked into applying for Medicaid today since I qualify. My p doc and t doc don't take it. Neither does my dermatologist and gyno. So I'm guessing most doctors don't take it?

i think it depends on what state you live in. mark has medicaid and we haven't had any problems finding doctors here. his liver specialist is actually an hour away (for any special tests) but is here one day a week for appointments and routine stuff. everyone else is local. go online and see if they list the participating doctors, they do here.

I get Medicaid here in nebraska. They send you a list of available doctors when you get it.

I live in Alabama and I've been fortunate to find good dr.'s that accept medicaid. I do have to go to a mental health clinic but they actually have good docs there. I see my Gp for gyno things.Good Luck!!

Hve you applied for Disability ? SSDI ?
That's the Medicare plan , and all Dr's are required to take Medicare.

Medicaide is optional for the Dr's, most communities have a County run clinic that will accept Medicaide

Some people even qualify for both Medicare and Medicade

I have Medicaid. But that's the thing about it-- you have to find certain drs that take it. :/
