Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.
Do you belong to a church or could you take a continuing ed class of some interest to you where maybe you'd meet people with the same interest such as painting or photography? Give you something in common to begin with.
Good luck.
I find it harder to make friends with women than men.
Maybe the support group would be a good place to start, it might help having family with you, make you more relaxed
I was whining around about this very thing last weekend seeing how my husband is an extreme extrovert and has all kinds of friends, I was kind of feeling like a looser and what's wrong with me. So I googled what's wrong with being an introvert and found this wonderful website that describes me to a T as an introvert as well as my husband as an extrovert. It also lists the misconception people have about introverts. Because extroversion is so highly valued in our society people think that's the way everyone should be or it's viewed as a pathology instead of it just being a temperament that we are born with. Whew, glad to know that. I read an excerpt from one book that says we even process dopamine differently or something like that. Anyway if there are any introverts out there check it out.
