Bipolar Disorder Support Group
Bipolar disorder is not just a single disorder, but a category of mood disorders marked by periods of abnormally high energy and euphoria, often accompanied by bouts of clinical depression. This is the place to talk about your experience with bipolar disorder, learn from others' experiences, and find support.

I am not sure where to even start, I have been married to a bipolar man for the past 13 years now and we have had our good times and bad for sure; but I don't want to give up on him, most of his family has done just that. He is med compliant at this time and he hasn't had an episode that I have really noticed in some time but lately he seems to be trying to allignate those that love him. Also lately I found out he was sending obsence messages to my niece; his daughters also found out about this and as with most of us was through discussed he doesn't realize we know all that; but then he went off on our oldest daughter (which is an adult) but because her bf had cheated on her he was upset because she is standing by her bf not realizing that he is doing the same thing but he dont see it is this normal for bp thinking???
Ok I know I am rambling here I am sorry I just am at a loss for how to help him. Besides calling his doc which i have!
Next he said some mean things to my family after we lost a family member and also went off on my brother, my family is oh so good becuase they try to ignore his actions but it doesnt hurt them any less or myself. I have calls in right now to his psychologist and am hoping to get some help; but any other advice is appreciated. I have read posts and see so much of those in him; he has been unfaithful in the past and heavy into the porn and computer stuff but has gotten away from most of it; still watches porn at times but not half as much. Also unsure if anyone deals with those moments when there is no reasoning; for example he feels everyone is out to bend him over and screw him; which is not at all true. I am just so scared he will allignate everyone and be alone or that I will have to chose between him and my family and his kids. His own kids say I put up with more than I should. Please give me some advice or suggestions is all this part of mania and meds not working right???? Well doc just called going to switch his meds around again hoping for the best! Wish me luck!

When someone has bipolar disorder they will have episodes when they're unwell however there's stability in between the episodes..
It sounds like he has a big problem with anger much of the time and lashes out at people...
Therapy might help him if he wants to change..
Take care of you.. You deserve it
