I'm totally losing the desire to continue going to DBT......I started going and I was a train wreck, having major agressive outbursts, just not stable by any means. Well then I started taking Trileptal and well I don't have outbursts like that any more...the drug has been life changing for me.....and some acquired DBT skills too.....but I'm not putting my all into it like I should and could be.
I am just losing my motivation for it and don't know how to get it back. sigh
I dread going each week, don't look forward to therapy either. I really feel that I am doing alot better and don't need to keep going.....I think I needed a huge med tweak when I began, which I got, it worked so yay!!
I don't know if I should continue to push myself or just say to hell with it and stop going. Those who know me, know that I cannot stand the drive up there...it causes me great anxiety which doesn't help the situation. Then, just about the entire time I am in DBT, I worry about what the damn traffic is going to be like when I leave. I live in a small town and am very acclimated to the driving around here....not in a larger one where there is more traffic!!! I feel like I am going to get stuck there forever!!! I know, totally irrational but I feel panicked in heavy traffic....sigh
I don't know just totally losing my motivation here and wanting to call it quits and have no clue as to what to do??

Once again I've had a fever today. I'm not going to the hospital because that's a huge waste of time but I did schedule a dr appointment for Wednesday afternoon.

I know that the drive is really upsetting for ya.. If it out ways the good maybe put it on hold for a while.. Ask if you can leave your options open but you don't want to continue right now maybe??
If you end up needing to get back into therapy is there a place closer to your home?...xo

yea, there is something about being human - and doing things you don't want to do.... Grown up, mature, fricken stable or worker bee, progress, living....
Having a mental illness, we believe if we should get a "break" is should be more fair, or easy....
We don't want too - we shouldn't have too....(Will with meds and treatment a good example) You CAN quit, you have a good reasons, its hard and you don't want too. There is why you starting going - trying to do things better, or different, learn skills or just ONE magic thing, that "clicks"
How do you know in three weeks from now, that your not going to hear the one SENTENCE that changes your world, anxiety and choices?
For me, I admit I can learn new valuable things, my depression does not want me to Change or get better - why I am I going to listen to my sick brain, when just going to a class can teach me new things?
I understand if you want to quit, but KNOW just because you don't want too, doesn't mean you shouldn't TRY Harder... life is not suppose to be easy.... we just wish it was. If it was easy, we wouldn't learn anything... LOL Praying for your strength to quit... or peach for you, if you do.....
