I was wondering what is the longest amount of time you have been stable/blanced?

I would say for me 3 months..this summer july to end of spet. I just started new meds and they were fully in my body by that ponit. and I away feel better in the sun mood wise.
I am hopeing this summer will be the same. or when I go to cuba I hope I feel good mood wise and maybe when I get back to? if I am lucky it mite last a couple weeks.
so I got abit off topic...so how longest balnced/stable love to see the diffrents between people and if u know what type of bp your are you you up that in.. I am also trying to fiuger out what type of bp I am.

I was stable from Jan 2007 to around August of 2007. I contribute the stability to ECTs and sunshine (I lived in Florida for a year). It is only time I have ever really been stable more than a few weeks since I was 12 years old.

I used to use a light box every day but have heard tanning beds work just as well a couple times a week. Nothing beats the sunshine though - wish we had more of it here in Michigan :-/

I was "mostly" stable from 2002-2007. 2007 - now has been a rollercoaster ride though.

I have been stable for 12 years. It is just now starting to come uncorked, so the docs and I are watching things.

I used to answer questions like this, but now I'm not sure what "stable" is.

I've never been hospitalized (though believe me, I've fantasized about it and wished for it!), but I ride a roller-coaster every day of my life.

Sometimes it's more visible than others.

8 years without a major episode (ie/ mania or full-blown depression). Never stopped meds during that time. Then pdoc lowered mood stabiliser and had full-blown mania etc. Big Mistake. my ma has been stable for years, also. My aunt, who goes off her meds, is always having manic episodes.

Since being Dx in 2005..the "official DX"..I have been stable the longest since starting Depakote..in late Nov 07...with a glitch here and there.

Before my "official Dx",I had my life in a box of snakes for 15 yrs or so.

When I was just called bipolar an hadnt any real trauma I was good for 17 years. But after bad trauma and being BP2 rapid cycling i am like you a go for 2-3 months
