Living together isn't the norm, and getting along fine is healthy. I think I admire the way you have welcomed your ex's S/O into your life. I wish more people could have as healthy a relationship with their ex spouse. Should be the norm instead of odd. Good on you. Gotta add that I don't think her ex-profession or whether she works or not really makes a difference. As long as the ex gets along with her, what would it matter?

its fine to be friendly but I don't know that I would make a best friend there. It's good to be friends with and ex and all, but some times it's also good to move on and have a separate life with out him involved.

I lived with my ex with his new girl and it was weird. But I'm glad to be out of all that now. I have my own life and never look back.

I think you must be over medicated. This doesn't sound normal or remotely healthy to me. But who am I to say. I live with a mean drunk. I moved out of our bedroom this summer and now have my own room. It is a five bedroom house so we don't have to spend time in the same room. But if he started bringing another woman in my house I think I would kill him. He at least could take her to a motel. Her being an ex porn star would bother me because I think hubby's watching porn every night instead of having sex with me is what ruined our marriage. He got off with the computer so much he was too tired (and drunk) to give me any attention.

It sounds like a negative situation to me. I would want to get out and move on, house or no house. I'd sell the house and split the profit.

I think it is fantastic seriously as long as you are truly ok with it then I think it is the way more should be. I mean for now I see the reasons behind still sharing the house and yes you both should be able to go on with your lives as long as the other isn't uncomfortable then :). Am with heretic - too bad this isn't the norm instead of the exception to the rule.

I moved back in with my ex to take care of him after he had an accident and ended up in a wheelchair - we are talking full on nursing as well as cook, maid, chauffeur, house keeper and chief bottle washer! Now that's not normal in any sense of the word!

Seriously, if it works for you guys I say go with it and ignore everyone else. No one can know until they walk a mile in your shoes.
